Abstract

A method that slightly changes the request for a web page from an end-user to return with two frames back to the end-user instead of only one, whereas the first frame contains the requested web page and the second frame contains modifications made by the service provider, e.g. advertisement.

Description

Frame Insertion in a http or https Main Frame
Methodology:
A user initiates access to a web page via a generic browser using either an http or https protocol. The return traffic is intercepted and the following modifications are made:
1. The code is parsed for the relative/absolute positions of the upper right-hand and lower right-hand corners of the frame
2. The two coordinated are adjusted to allow for the insertion of another frame within the main frame. The inserted frame can be of any desired size, so long as the respective heights and widths of both frames do not exceeded limits
3. The modified code is forwarded to the initiating address.
Essentially, two frames are now returned instead of one. The requested info is sent unmodified. The second frame can be used for a number of purposes, notably advertisement. Such an approach would allow for constant advertisement, independently of the requested page.

Claims

Patent claim
This invention will with sole right be used by InfoQuest. Other contractors who wish to use this solution can do that, if they contact InfoQuest about license.
Legacy technology
This invention is based on web proxy server, http/https protocol. This invention works both in the wired as well as the wireless computer network.
New and unique
What's new and unique is that the web proxy server automatically creates two frames, whose one frame is the users and the other is the distributors. Then the distributor can view advertisements in distributors frame, the distributor have a possibility to offer it's customers lower charge to show advertisements from distributor's partner.
