Abstract
An abrasive characterized by comprising particles which are composed of both graphitic carbon and diamond and have a median diameter of 30 to 250nm and a specific gravity of 2.63 to 3.38g/cm3; and an abrasive characterized by comprising mixed particles consisting of both particles which are composed of both graphitic carbon and diamond and have a median diameter of 30 to 250nm and nano-sized diamond particles having a median diameter of 30 to 250nm with the average specific gravity of the mixed particles falling within the range of 2.63 to 3.38g/cm3.
