Abstract

The invention relates to the treatment of pool water in a circulation circuit ensuring hygienic safety of pool water without the necessity of using chlorination. The technology is based upon the combination of advanced oxidation process utilising OH radicals in at least one technological stage and ozonization, said advanced oxidation process allowing to remove microorganisms and polluting compounds from the treated water to the maximum possible extent so as to ensure the sanitation of water in the pool with only a low concentration of ozone dissolved in water, with minimum 0.001 mg/l O3 in the whole volume of the pool, while the concentration of ozone released from water above the water level does not exceed 200 μg/m3.
