Abstract

In OFDM communication of a base station for adding a cyclic prefix to a symbol consisting of a predetermined number of sub-carrier signal components to transmit it to mobile stations, the mobile stations are grouped based on their communication environments, and scheduling is performed for selecting a mobile station to be a target of the communication for each group. A CP length of the cyclic prefix to be added to the symbol of a group with poor communication environments is lengthened (Long-CP), and the length of the cyclic prefix to be added to the symbol for a group with good communication environments is shortened (Short-CP).
