Abstract

Provided are a biodegradable starch bowl and a method of preparing the same, that are capable of improving sterilization, deodorization, preservation, release, and water-resistance characteristics, and increasing strength of the bowl. The biodegradable starch bowl is by heating and pressing a biodegradable starch bowl composition consisting of : 50 to 60 parts by weight rice hulls, 12 to 18 parts by weight melamine resin, 3 to 7 parts by weight titanium dioxide, 3 to 7 parts by weight starch, and 20 to 30 parts by weight water, wherein the rice hulls include 100-mesh rice hulls and 150-mesh rice hulls in a part by weight ratio of 1 : 1. Thereby, it is possible to more effectively accomplish sterilization and deodorization functions of the biodegradable starch bowl.
