Abstract

When permanent magnets (6, 7) embedded in a conveyance belt (3) pass by a plurality of magnetic sensors (8), the magnetic sensors (8) detect a magnetic field of the magnets, and a data collector (9) collects detected signals. A controller (10) compares strengths of the magnetic fields detected by the sensors (8), calculates an angle of torsion of the conveyance belt (3) by the location of the sensor (8) which detects the largest magnetic field, outputs an alarm signal to an alarm (11) according to the angle of torsion , outputs a control signal to a circular holding roller driver (12) provided in a roller supporting device (19) of a circular holding roller to correct the torsion of the conveyance belt. It further outputs a control signal to a rounding roller driver (13) provided in a roller supporting device (21) of a rounding roller to correct the torsion of the belt.
