Abstract

The present invention relates to an electrochemical power generator, comprising: a) a humidifier (53) connected to an air distribution circuit for humidifying air from an air inlet; b) a fuel cell stack (54) configured with a plurality of cathodes (55) and anodes (56) for generating electrochemical energy, the cathodes (55) receiving the humidified air from the humidifier (53) and the anodes (56) receiving hydrogen from a hydrogen feed (57) via a hydrogen distribution circuit; c) a plurality of manifolds (62) connecting both the air distribution circuit and the hydrogen distribution circuit to each end of the fuel cell stack (54); and d) a stack cooling system (59, 60, 61) for regulating the temperature of the fuel cell stack (54) when electrochemical energy is generated.
