[35] FIG. 1 is a perspective view schematically illustrating an eye bandage for fomentation according to the present invention. FIG. 2 is a perspective view schematically illustrating the state in which the intraocular pressure portion and the main body portion are disassembled. FIG. 3 is a perspective view schematically illustrating a partial cut portion of the eye bandage for fomentation according to the present invention.
[36] And, FIG. 4 is a perspective view schematically illustrating an expanded state of the eye bandage for fomentation according to the present invention. FIG. 5 is a perspective view schematically illustrating the intraocular pressure portion of the eye bandage for fomentation according to the present invention. FIG. 6 is a sectional view obtained according to "A-A" line in FIG. 5.
[37] Finally, FIGs. 7 to 9 are views illustrating various using states of the eye bandage for fomentation according to the present invention.
[38] As shown in the drawings, the eye bandage 1 for fomentation according to the present invention comprises a main body portion 10, an intraocular pressure portion 30, and auxiliary wearing bands 31 and 33 detachably provided on the both sides of the intraocular pressure portion 30.
[39] The main body portion 10 is to be widely contacted to other portions of a face except for eyes, and it is formed with a receiving space having a predetermined size to be filled with high absorptive resins P.
[40] That is, as shown, the main body portion 10 is formed with a vision panel 1Oh so that eyes' portion is outwardly exposed when it is worn on a user's face, and it is also formed with wearing bands 11 and 13 to be held on the user's head.
[41] For this, in the main body portion 10, an outer edge portions of two pieces of fabrics having different materials and an edge portion of the vision panel 1Oh are sewed from each other to be bias taped b and b', and some amount of the high absorptive resins P are filled between the two piece of fabrics before sewed.
[42] The high absorptive resins P may be injected in a liquid type, but preferably it is a powder type, and this is to use it as an eye bandage for sleep by minimizing its volume in a dry condition.
[43] The main body portion 10 having above described structure is directly contacted to the user's skin, and therefore, it is preferably made of cottons or micro fibers which are functional fabrics. Surely, synthesis fabrics or synthesis resins may be used in addition to natural woven stuffs.
[44] Meanwhile, the wearing bands 11 and 13 are provided on the both sides of the main body portion 10 to have a determined length, and it is preferably provided to have same materials as the main body portion 10. The wearing bands 11 and 13 are provided with a Velcro tape or a well-known snap fastner to be selectively detachable at corresponding position. In the present invention, as shown, the wearing bands 11 and 13 are provided with Velcro tapes 1 Ib and 13b at their corresponding position, but alternatively, it may be the fastner and an elastic band or strings. [45] Also, the wearing bands 11 and 13 are provided with Velcro tapes 11a and 13a on the one side of front surface which is near to the vision panel 1Oh so as to attach or detach the intraocular pressure portion 30. The Velcro tapes 11a and 13a may be alternated with a well known snap fastner.
[46] The main body portion 10 is formed with a section line 10' to sect its inner receiving space so as to prevent the high absorptive resin P in the space from being floated. The section line 10' does not fully sect the receiving space of the main body portion 10, but it is preferably sewed to leave an allowed space, in which the high absorptive resin P may be slightly floated, on the both sides thereof.
[47] The intraocular pressure portion 30 is provided in a shape to be contacted to the user's eyes, and it has a size which sufficiently covers the vision panel 1Oh of the main body portion 10.
[48] The intraocular pressure portion 30 is provided to be detachable at the front of the main body portion 10, to this, as shown, the Velcro tapes 30a and 30b are provided on the both sides thereof and therefore they are selectively attached to the Velcro tapes
I Ia and 13a provided on the wearing bands 11 and 13.
[49] The intraocular pressure portion 30 is filled with the high absorptive resin P therein as like the main body portion 10. To this, the edges of two pieces of fabrics are sewed to be one and the section line 30' is formed as sewing, and then the high absorptive resins P are filled therein.
[50] The intraocular pressure portion 30 may be independently used to what the auxiliary wearing bands 31 and 33 are selectively connected.
[51] The auxiliary wearing bands 31 and 33 functions nearly same as the wearing bands
I 1 and 13 integrally provided on the main body portion 10, and they are provided with Velcro tapes 31a and 33a to be attached to the Velcro tapes 30a and 30b of the intraocular pressure portion 30 on the both ends thereof. Also, they are provided with Velcro tapes 31b and 33b at each corresponding position to be connected at the back of the user's head.
[52] The representative example of wearing the eye bandage for fomentation according to the present invention afore described is briefly explained as follows.
[53] In a case that the eye bandage is used for sleep, the examples are largely divided in two.
[54] Firstly, it is possible to partially cover the user's eyes only by connecting the intraocular pressure portion 30 to the auxiliary wearing bands 31 and 33 and by wearing it on the user's face.
[55] Secondly, it is possible to hold the intraocular pressure portion 30 onto the user's face using the wearing bands 11 and 13 of the main body portion 10 by attaching the intraocular pressure portion 30 to the main body portion 10 when the wearing area due to the intraocular pressure portion 30 is narrow.
[56] Meanwhile, in another case that the eye bandage is used for cold and hot fomentation, its example is as follows.
[57] Firstly, in a case of partially acting the cold and hot fomentation only near eyes of the user, the intraocular pressure portion 30 is put in cold or hot water, and then the high absorptive resin P filled therein is expanded in volume and saves heat.
[58] When the user wear the eye bandage 1 after connecting the auxiliary wearing bands
31 and 33 to the both side of the intraocular pressure portion 30, partial cold and hot fomentation effects for the user's eyes can be obtained.
[59] Secondly, it is possible to hold the intraocular pressure portion 30 onto the user's face using the wearing bands 11 and 13 of the main body portion 10 by attaching the intraocular pressure portion 30 to the main body portion 10 when the wearing area due to the intraocular pressure portion 30 is narrow.
[60] At this time, the main body portion 10 is put in cold or hot water together with the intraocular pressure portion 30, and then the high absorptive resin P filled therein is expanded in volume and saves heat, and alternatively, at expanded condition, it can be cooled or heated by the indirect heat transfer using a cooling apparatus such as a refrigerator or a heating apparatus such as a micro wave oven.
[61] Although the preferred embodiment of the present invention have been described, it is understood that the present invention should not be limited to this preferred embodiment but various changes and modifications can be made by one skilled in the art within the sprit and scope of the present invention aimed.
