Abstract

A subject region judgment device is provided with an arrangement generation unit and a region consistence calculation unit. The arrangement generation unit generates a first arrangement as an arrangement between a first subject region including a first subject item and a second subject region including a second subject item. The region consistence calculation unit calculates a shared border score to show the degree of overlap between a first arrangement border as an entire boarder of the first arrangement composed of the first subject region and the second subject region and a first region-of-interest border as a border of a first region-of-interest, and judges based on the shared border score that the first arrangement composed of the first subject region and the second subject region exists in the first region-of-interest. Since the judgment is based on the shared border score, the occurrence of a drift phenomenon or that of a measurement minus of a subject is prevented.
