Abstract

A pseudoginseng fraction extract containing components inherent to pseudoginseng and having an IL-1β inhibitory activity is provided by extracting a fraction of pseudoginseng which shows a higher Rf value than ginsenoside Rg1 in thin layer chromatography wherein a methanol extract of pseudoginseng, silica gel and an organic solvent are employed respectively as a sample solution, an immobile phase and a developing solvent.
