Abstract

A controller adapted to a power converter circuit of current resonance type having a switch and a transformer. The timings at which the switches are turned on/off are generated so that the output voltage may approach a reference voltage and so that the variation of the primary current of the transformer may be reduced. The controller (1) is adapted to a power converter circuit (2) of current resonance type having a switch circuit (23) composed of one or more switches and a transformer (21). The controller (1) comprises an output detecting unit (11) for detecting an output value (the voltage and/or the current) of the power converter circuit (2), a primary current detecting unit (12) for detecting the primary current of the transformer (21), and a timing generating unit (13) for generating the timings at which the switches are turned on/off according to the output value and the primary current.
