Abstract

A device for supporting photovoltaic panels (13) comprises at least a first shaft (11) rotatably supported on a first support (9) about a first rotation axis (X), at least one chassis (12) arranged to house one or more of the photovoltaic panels (13), first actuator means (15) provided on the first support (9) and first motor means (18). The device also comprises at least a second stationary support (2) supporting the device, the first support (9) being rotatably supported on the second support about a second rotation axis (Z), second actuator means (3, 4) for controlling the rotation of the first support (9) about the second axis, second motor means (7, 8), and braking means (20) between the first and second support (9, 2), for locking the rotation of the first support (9) about the second rotation axis (Z), the braking means (20) being active between the supports (9, 2) on the outside of the kinematic chain of transmission parts provided between the second motor means (7, 8), the second actuator means (3, 4) and the second support (2), for controlling the rotation about the second axis (Z).
