Abstract
A sugar chain array substrate capable of presenting a sugar chain molecule in a polyvalent state by immobilizing a sugar chain-carrier complex in which a plurality of the same type of sugar chain molecules are bound to one carrier molecule on a substrate at a predetermined position is provided. Further, a sugar chain array substrate in which a purified or unpurified complex sugar is immobilized on the sugar chain array substrate at another predetermined position is provided. Further, the invention provides a method and a kit for detection or analysis of a sugar-binding molecule in a test sample, analysis of a sugar-binding activity of a test sugar-binding molecule, detection or analysis of a sugar chain in a complex sugar, search for a sugar-binding molecule having an unknown sugar-binding activity using the sugar chain array substrate.
