Abstract

It is possible to provide a radio communication mobile device and a radio communication method which can suppress power consumption of a mobile station battery and reduce a delay time required for movement between cells. A reception unit (201) in an idle mode receives measurement system information from a network by broadcast control signaling and performs a GVT check procedure to decide whether the GVT contained in the received measurement system information is identical to the currently used GVT. If the GVT check procedure result indicates that the GVTs are different, a new parameter execution unit (204) executes a new measurement parameter. On the other hand, if the GVT check procedure result indicates that the GVTs are identical, the mobile station executes a measurement parameter in an associated parameter execution unit (205) and in a non-associated parameter execution unit (206).
