Abstract

The invention is directed to an epilator head (1) for trapping hair for removal. The head according to the invention comprising a shaft, a rotating body which has an axis of rotation and is adapted to be rotated by a motor. Preferably the rotating body is a drum-like or cylindrical body rotating around the axis of rotation. Moreover, at least two pincers (23) are provided, the pincers (23) being essentially radially arranged to the axis of rotation and being able to rotate in accordance with the rotation of the rotating body (20-26). The distal ends (28) of the pincers (23) are adapted to move towards each other and away from each other depending on the rotary location of the rotating body (20-26). A means (26) for elastically biasing the pincers (23) is also provided in between the pincers so that the distal ends (28) of the pincers (23) are biased away from each other. The biasing means (26) have a generally annular shape. Further, a means (20) is provided for pushing at least one of the pincers (23) so that the distal ends (28) of the pincers (23) move towards each other.
