Description

"MICRO-CONTROLLED STICK OF PATROL SUPERVISION WITH WIRELESS ACCESS TO INTERNET"
The present request of Utility Model patent refers to a new "MICRO- CONTROLLED STICK OF PATROL SUPERVISION WITH WIRELESS ACCESS TO INTERNET"; especially of a stick applied in the safety patrimonial sector that enables, via wireless internet, several functional and operational advantages, as, for instance, sending in real time of information contained in the stick to a server or any computer; determination of aleatory patrol circuits; sensors able to point actions against the equipment. Systems and sticks for monitoring of patrol activity are much known. US patent number 3,990,067 "Electronic Security Tour System" of 02/11/1976 and US patent number 4,296,408 "Location Transmitting System" of 20/10/1981 anticipated an equipment used to establish a security system that has a route that should be followed by patrol watcher, having a plurality of stations located along the patrol route. Since then, several new technologies have been allowing the refinement of the proposed systems and sticks with the inclusion of important innovations. One of that innovations is US patent number 5,120,942 "Portable Tour Monitor Device, Report Generating System and Programming Device Therefore", filed on 02/02/1989 and granted on 09/06/1992. Afterwards, the US patent number 6,834,259 "Guard Tour System", filed on
15/10/1999, tried to systematize the system introducing the base that orientates the systems of patrols employed at the present time
An important particularity of all the models of current systems is the existence of a stick that introduces one or more of the following primordial functionalities: • Record of information of date and time of the instant in which the stick is connected to an electronic marker (by contact or wireless);
• Record of the identity of patrol watcher by means of electric connection (by contact or wireless) of an identifier device to the stick;
• Information to patrol watcher when the period allowed for patrol is close to the end; • Information, by means of connection (by contact or wireless) to an identifier device, if there are patrols with problems in their execution; • Transfer of collected data to a computer only by means of data discharge base or specific connector;
• Configuration by means of connection to a computer by means of a data discharge base or specific connector. According to the exposed above, the known models of sticks, in spite of performing functions for which were projected, present some deficiencies:
• The transfer of data from stick to computer can only be effected by means of discharge base or directly to the computer;
• As a consequence of the item above mentioned, it is not possible the accompaniment of the activity of patrol watcher in each point of the patrol, being possible just at time of the discharge;
• The patrols are accomplished so that the sequence points to be run are always determined. There is only a set of routes that can be executed in a pre-determined way. Although the product presented in the US patent number 5,120,942 enables some intelligence in the selection of routes to be executed in each patrol, it does not mention the aleatory way;
• The configuration of the stick demands its connection to a computer by means of discharge base or by means of appropriated connector or being accomplished in the own stick;
• The sticks are not able to include in the data transmitted to the computer information about vandalism attempts, as, for instance, excessive mechanic shock; repetitive mechanic shock; excessive heat; excessive cold; short circuit in electric contacts; application of tensions outside the operation limits in the electric contacts and incidence of electromagnetic waves of high energy and,
• Impracticability of transmission in real time to a computer or computerized system of a warning signal in case of not conclusion of a patrol. Expert of the modern technology of the computer science, and looking for use it to a supervision patrol stick, aiming overcome the above fully exposed deficiencies, it was that the inventor created this equipment, which allows to transfer the data of the stick to a computer employing a pre-existed radio chain (chain of cellular telephony, communication via radio or any other one) with the objective of sending information of the stick directly to a computer that can be connected the telephonic net or the internet. The connection of the stick to the pre-existed radio chain can be accomplished directly by means of electronic circuit incorporated to the electronics of the stick, or through the communication of the stick with another device, as cellular phone or another equipment transreceiver of radio. Thus, it is possible that the stick unloads information to the computer, here denominated of server, in any instant, inclusive to each point of the patrol. On the other hand, the aleatory way is possible thanks to the inclusion of a routes set in the software of the stick. Therefore, the software of the stick chooses of aleatory way which route should be used in the patrols, so the patrol watcher does not have previous knowledge of the route.
The connection between stick and computer can occurs of several ways, contrary to the conventional model.
The referred connection can be effected by means of circuit transreceiver of radiofrequency built-in in the electronics of the stick, of three forms:
• The configuration is sent to the stick when this initiates the connection to send the files to the server that uses the connection and sends the new configuration;
• The server initiates a call via pre-existed radio chain to the stick and this does the data discharge simultaneously; • The server sends a signal via radio chain to the stick and this initiates a connection via radio chain with the server coming back,to first proposed condition.
The connection with external device to the stick and the change of information between stick and the server is processed of identical way to the cited last case, however using an external device of wireless communication. The information inclusion about vandalism attempts occurs by means of sensors of tension, current, temperature, acceleration and electromagnetic field. The stick monitors the sensors and registers the considered events, in the configuration, like vandalism attempt. When unloading the data, the stick includes the information about the attempts properly told. ι > The discharge in real time enables the activation of alarms in case of problems in the execution of a patrol.
With these resources, any person can, at distance, via computer, interact, control and change the patrol sequence.
In general lines, the main advantages of the present patent request can be summarized, as the description below:
• Increase of the safety by i means of aleatory selection of the route to be executed in each patrol;
• Reduction of the operational . cost by elimination of the need to keep an exclusive equipment for data discharge;
• Elimination of the need to employees acting as patrol supervisors, which use portable equipments for discharge of the data collected by the sticks;
• Increase of the safety by means of events' immediate notification every time the stick identify a patrol point and,
• Reduction of the operational cost in systems that nowadays use the chain of fixed telephony with dedicated line and equipment of dedicated discharge. To follow, it is explained the innovation with reference to the attached drawings, where it is represented:
