Abstract

An air conditioner having a humidifying unit (3) for producing humidified air by humidifying air that is heated by a heater (13) and supplying the humidified air to an indoor unit, a switching mechanism (15) for switching a humidifying duct between the humidifying unit (3) and the indoor unit, and a control device for controlling the humidifying unit (3) and the switching mechanism (15). When a freeze determination section determines in humidifying operation that the switching mechanism (15) satisfies freeze conditions, the control section controls the temperature of humidified air, discharged from the exit of the humidifying unit (3), so that the switching mechanism (15) does not freeze.
