Abstract

Disclosed is a lubricant composition to be used in an internal combustion engine which uses a fuel containing at least one member selected from the group consisting of natural fats and oils, hydrogenated natural fats and oils, transesterified natural fats and oils, and hydrogenated products of the transesterified natural fats and oils. This lubricant composition contains, as a lubricant base oil, a polyol ester having a kinematic viscosity at 100˚C of 3-8 mm2/s and/or a polybasic acid ester having a kinematic viscosity at 100˚C of 3-8 mm2/s in an amount of 5-30% by mass based on the total amount of the lubricant composition.
