Abstract

A paper envelope structure (1) open at the top with edges (1C) spread apart, can be fixed to the wall under the hole to be drilled, to receive said loose material which otherwise falls and is gradually dispersed as the hole is drilled.

Description

"An element to collect waste material from holes drilled in masonry walls"
DESCRIPTION Background art
It is known that, when a hole is drilled in a masonry wall, with a drill or the like, loose masonry material falls and is dispersed onto the floor below.
Improvised measures to avoid this annoying and damaging drawback have always proved to be ineffective, especially in the case of holes drilled in a domestic environment.
The present invention makes it possible to ensure that this loose waste material caused when said holes are drilled in masonry walls and the like is collected, by means of a simple element composed of an envelope structure, usually made of paper, open at the top with spread apart edges, to be fixed to the wall under the hole to be drilled, and suitable to receive the loose material, which would otherwise fall and be gradually dispersed as the hole is drilled.
Advantageously, one of the two edges of the envelope structure can be provided with an adhesive band for fixing to the wall; said adhesive band being protected by a strip detachable at the time of use. Preferably, said adhesive band extend beyond the horizontal dimension of said element to en- sure adhesion to the wall.
Advantageously, said adhesive band can be produced so that it also involves the point in which the hole is to be drilled. Brief description of the drawings
The invention will be better understood by following the description and accompanying drawing, which shows a practical non-limiting example of said invention. In the drawing:
Fig.1 shows a perspective view
Figs.2 and 3 show a front view and a view from the line Ill-Ill of Fig.2; and Fig.4 shows a vertical section of an element fixed to the perforated wall. Detailed description of an embodiment of the invention
According to the illustration of the element in question, the number 1 indicates an envelope structure, which can even simply be made of paper, with a rear side 1A, a front side 1B and two edges 1C, each formed with folds so that they can be spread apart, in order to allow suitably stabilizable limited upper widening between the two sides 1 A and 1 B.
The rear side 1A has an extension 1AA, provided along the rear of the upper edge thereof an adhesive surface protected by means of a detachable protective paper strip 3, provided with a projection on at least one of the ends 3A thereof to facilitate gripping for detachment.
Due to the presence of the adhesive surface, after removal of the protective paper strip 3, the element described above can be fixed to the wall P (Fig.4) in which a hole is to be drilled. Fixing must take place immediately below the hole F to be drilled in the wall, or can even take place in the area in which the hole is to be drilled, if the extension 1AA has a suitable dimension.
When the hole F is drilled, the loose plaster material falls into the cavity formed by the sides 1A, 1B. Moreover, when the hole is drilled in the area of the adhesive surface, this surface stabilizes the plaster against accidental detachment around the hole F, preventing superficial chipping around this hole.
It is understood that the drawing only shows an example given by way of a practical demonstration of the invention, as said invention can vary in forms and arrangements without however departing from the scope of the concept underlying the invention.
