Abstract

Ein Reaktor zur Flugstromvergasung für einen Betrieb mit staubförmigen oder flüssigen Brennstoffen weist einen durch einen Kühlschirm begrenzten Reaktionsraum sowie einen über einen Rohgas- und Schlackeabgang mit dem Reaktionsraum verbundenen Quenchraum auf, wobei zumindest der Kühlschirm durch einen Druckmantel druckfest umschlossen ist. Erfindungsgemäß wird vorgeschlagen, den Ringspalt zwischen Kühlschirm und Druckmantel mit einer Flüssigkeit, wie zum Beispiel Wasser oder Wärmeträgeröl, zu befüllen, wodurch auf einen durch hohe Temperaturunterschiede bedingten Längenausgleich verzichtet werden kann. Durch eine Verbindung zwischen dem Ringspalt und dem Quenchraum oder der Rohgasleitung wird ein annähernder Druckausgleich zwischen dem Vergasungsraum (2) und dem Ringspalt (5) gewährleistet; dabei bleibt der Druck im Vergasungsräum (2) regelmäßig geringfügig höher als der im inneren Wassermantel.
