Abstract
The present invention provides a new technique wherein the marks meant to help the blind to easily identify the security documents involving currencies, cheques, and other bank note denomination. In accordance with the invention the marks are printed in two stages in a different manner compared to normally printed conventional Intaglio printing technique wherein also the marks are printed in any specific place. The two stage technique involves : first printing the specially designed Feeval marks by Intaglio Process on to the Pre coated mild heat release adhesive paper reels for transferring on to the watermark sheets in special colours with specially designed apparatus; the second stage is post printing which in literal sense transferring the specially designed Intaglio printed Feeval marks, pre coated with mild heat release adhesive on the back side to facilitate transferring them on to the watermark sheets using special apparatus; In addition to it, two to three marks are imprinted in each document totally in different places to each other, so that in addition to the shape of the FEEVAL marks, the blind will recognize the document by the side of the document in which it has been printed. According to the invented technique the system be called 'FEEVAL ' meaning 'Feel the Value'. By touching the specially designed mark the value of the document is easily recognized by blind.

COMPLETE SPECIFICATION
( MODIFIED )
TWO STAGE PRINTING SYSTEM FOR SPECIAL BLIND MARK FEEVAL
The following specification particularly describes the nature of the invention and the manner in which it is to be performed.
1.1 The present invention relates to imprinting the blind mark with the help of specially invented two stage concept which have been specially designed to protect security documents involving currencies from being counterfeited and to enable the blind easily identify the value of the document . This two stage printing system, known as 'FEEVAL' is based on the art of highly advanced Intaglio technology and embossing which fully meet the purposes for which it has been designed.
1.2 In accordance with the universally used art of technology , new two stage concept based on two stage Intaglio printing technique using special process of printing have been designed .
1.3 Typically , such marks are presently printed on the bank notes and currencies by the use of Intaglio printing technique directly in one stage with the other Intaglio designs with specially prepared printing Intaglio plates because the Intaglio printing of the documents form one of the most accepted and trusted form of security feature and easily identifiable feature for blind.
1.4 Further, such special Intaglio plates are fitted on sophisticated Intaglio printing machines having special attachment to hold such plates . The high speed machine holding the Intaglio printing plates keeps on transferring the blind mark along with other Intaglio designs on to the sheets passing through it till the entire sheets meant for such process printing is completed.
1.5 Further, one of the disadvantages of the use of such universally used art of technology is that the mark so imprinted along with other designs tends to loose its relief as the days progresses in circulation since the currencies are never carefully handled by
public. The said mark is also easily forged by the counterfeiters.
1.6 Further, the counterfeiting is a form of piracy that seriously damage the state economy in terms of respect to the Bank notes and Currencies issued by them in the eyes of international community.
1.7 Further, the credibility and the value of Bank note and Currency is also lost in the presence of the counterfeited documents and therefore is important for the states to protect the security documents produced by them.
1.8 Accordingly, the present invention 'FEEVAL' provides new technique of imprinting the Intaglio blind marks hereto unavailable for use either with the security printers or with the non security printers. 1.9 Further, the present invention 'FEEVAL' coupled with new concept and art of reproducing through improved model of machineries, hereto unused in the industry in the art of Intaglio Printing, when adapted will help the blind to easily identify the value of the document instantly and also prevent the counterfeiters from producing Bank notes, and other security documents involving Intaglio Printing since very complicated designs can be prepared for this process . Further the advantages of the new concept technology are: a) The 'FEEVAL' blind mark will not loose its thickness and will remain feel able throughout the life of the note. b) 'FEEVAL' can easily be felt by the blind. c) It can not be copied by the counterfeiters as they can not print such a sharp thick print with specified distances and designs. d) 'FEEVAL' will act as one of the best security feature not easily copy able.
e) Measuring the blank area between each 'FEEVAL' mark will reveal the forged document as the counterfeiters will not be able to print such closely registered blind marks
1.10 Further, the invention provides for the use of special machineries. In accordance with the invention the printing of the blind mark is to be split into two parts, one as Pre feeval and the other as Post feeval.
1.11 Accordingly - the pre feeval machine which in all respects a mini Intaglio will be used to first print a series of Intaglio Feeval blind marks on heat release adhesive treated paper reel or print a series of Intaglio Feeval blind marks on a foil which will be first transferred on to the heat release adhesive treated paper reel which will act as career medium and will be known as "Pre feeval " printing. The machine will have a mild heat drying unit which will dry the prints before it reaches the winding station. 1.12 Further before the paper is wound it will again be coated with a special adhesive on the back of the Intaglio feeval marks or on the complete foil carrying the feeval marks and dried. This when subjected to mild heat will allow the foil to stick to the surface of any paper due to the mild heat generated through press rollers. The foil or the feeval marks will get fused with the paper and can not be removed.
1.13 Further, the Intaglio feeval printed reels are slit and wound on bobbins at the delivery end. The bobbins are positioned to register point in the delivery end of a Numbering machine contacted with a steel roller generating mild heat.
1.14 Typically, the above set of rollers with necessary attachments will be mounted on the back side of the numbering machines modified for holding such sets . They will then be connected with electronic attachments connecting both the new attachment and the machine 1.15 Typically when the watermark sheets carrying printed image and the serial numbers travel through the said set of rollers the Intaglio feeval mark will get released from the base paper due to mild heat and further again due to the same mild heat either the mark alone or the
mark with the foil on which it is printed gets pasted with the paper surface, like fusing of the image which can not be separated. This will thus be a indirect print just above the other process printing undergone earlier, and will remain as permanent feature meeting the ultimate objective as stressed under Para 1.1 and 1.9 . This process will be called the "post feeval".
1.16 Accordingly the Post feeval printed sheets will then fall in the delivery in the normal manner to process the sheets.
1.17 Further more, based on the size of the Feeval design required, the Mini Intaglio plates will be prepared for printing on the pre gummed reels. The size and style of the Feeval will vary as per the country specific requirement.
1.18 Accordingly, the primary objective of the invention Feeval is to make it possible to the common public to easily identify the counterfeit Bank notes / Currencies and Security documents numbered by this unique technique and also to the blind to identify the value of the currencies easily.
1.19 Still another object of the invention is to prevent counterfeiting of the Bank notes / Currencies and Security documents by the universally used art of technology since similar such specially designed technique will not be freely available in open markets.
1.20 Yet another object is to provide two tier printing of the Intaglio blind mark "Pre and Post Feeval " so that it will not be possible to counterfeit the documents using the existing machineries available throughout the world.
1.21 Still another object is, to deter the counterfeiters from even think of venturing into such an exercise in view of high cost of investment to prepare such a complicated system of Pre and Post Feeval printing 1.22 Further object taken into consideration has been that, specially designed machineries will be required to produce such
new technique invented as the perfect positioning of each Feeval mark between each other will be beyond their scope to do with the universally used art of technology .
1.23 Yet another object is to ensure that It will not be possible to procure such machineries by any individual as the same will be supplied only to those to whom the system has been specially developed i.e country specific.
1.24 Further objective of the invention is that the concept can be engaged for all types of Bank notes and Currencies apart from the Cheques, some of the select Security documents like the lottery tickets to help the blind as well as additional security feature.
1.25 At the onset of the description which follows, it is to be understood that the ensuing description only illustrates a particular form of this invention. However such an invention is only an exemplary embodiment, and without intending to imply any limitation to the scope of this invention. Accordingly the description is to be understood as an exemplary embodiment and not intended to be taken restrictively. 1.26 According to the invented technique the system be called
"FEEVAL " meaning "Feel the Value" . By touching the specially designed mark the value of the document is recognized by blind. 1.27 The invention will now be described by way of example with reference to the accompanying drawings in which the Fiq-1
