Abstract
The invention relates to a field device (30) for process automation, with at least one housing (5). The invention provides that at least one color carrier (2) is provided and that the color carrier (2) is designed such that a change in the operating state of the housing (5) causes a change in the color of at least a portion of the color carrier (2).
