  • the invention is related to the intelligent micro-particle containing data and machine-readable variable information and to the method of its production; such particle is protected against the falsification by diffraction gratings and serves for identification of different objects on which or in which it is implemented and the unique data in form of alphanumeric signs, patterns or bar code are created on the micro-particle mainly by metal etching and the machine-readable information is stored on the micro-particle surface in form of another layer.
  • the transparent plastic identification elements are known and used, it means the plastic disc of diameter approx. lmm on whose surface the variable information is located.
  • the production of this identification element consists in variable information deposition on the surface of the transparent plastic foil by the photographic method and subsequently the disc is cut from the prepared plastic.
  • This product is deposited on the marked objects by liquid media and pressure vessel. In addition it is deposited by brush on different objects for their protection at the presence of the liquid media.
  • the variable information it is possible to identify these objects by manual reading of the variable code on this product and thus identify the owner of the concerned object.
  • This variable information is read using the microscope.
  • the null protection against the falsification and low thermal and chemical resistance are the disadvantages of this solution.
  • the variable information identification is limited by reading using the microscope and this is another disadvantage.
  • Another known solution concerns the nickel identification flake that is composed of holographic pattern and alphanumeric code that is deposited on the pattern using the galvanization.
  • This solution is described in the Czech patent document CZ-PS 294820 where the nickel is mentioned as the source material for the galvanic process whose disadvantages, for example, consist in low thermal resistance of the marked object, that can cause the code damage, e.g. in case of fire or other thermal load, etc.
  • the purpose of the invention is to remove the above-mentioned defects of known solutions and to find the method of protective micro-particles production for the protection of documents and any other objects and products from other metals and materials that can be electroplated and have suitable properties for the given purpose better than the nickel and the plastic and for which the identification and readability of the variable information content is possible not only in the visual way but also using the machine.
  • the production method of the intelligent micro-particles containing the data and the machine- readable variable information removes the above-mentioned defects and meets the purpose of the invention. Its principle consists in the fact that the intelligent micro-particle, made of the high-temperature resistant metal that is electroplated and/or chemically treated and is of optional size and shape, is equipped with diffraction micro-gratings and identification data that are made in form of alphanumeric signs, patterns or bar codes whereas the machine- readable information is deposited on the intelligent micro-particles in form of another layer.
  • the production method of the intelligent micro-particle consists in the fact that the intelligent micro-particle matrix is electroplated in the non-current bath on the metal sheet of thickness 1 up 50 ⁇ m on which, after the removal from the intelligent micro-particle matrix, the layer of the light sensitive substance is deposited in thickness 1 up 5 ⁇ m, on which the syllabus with identification data is deposited, whereas the light sensitive substance layer is exposed into the light through the syllabus with the identification data.
  • the non-exposed points of the light sensitive substance layer are removed in the developer up to the metal sheet, whereas the non-protected material is etched off from the metal sheet on the side without diffraction micro-gratings through the metal sheet through the light sensitive substance layer, whereas the rests of the light resistant substance are washed down from the intelligent micro-particle
  • the layer containing the machine-readable information is deposited on the protective micro- particle that is prepared in the above described manner.
  • the finished intelligent micro- particles are dried at the end of the process.
  • the advantages of the intelligent micro-particles consist in the fact that the information, stored on the micro-particle, can be read optically as well as by machine and in both cases the unique information is the result, characterising uniquely the given micro-particle.
  • the machine-readable variable information is unique for every batch of produced micro-particles.
  • the detection is made by transportable detection equipment and is evaluated at site. For the forensic purpose, the laboratory set is determined, for which the unambiguous identification of the variable information is evaluated in detail in a very short period of time.
  • the group of the protective micro-particle I is shown in the f ⁇ g.l. They are made of the thermal resistant metal of thickness from 1 ⁇ m to 15 ⁇ m of optional size and shape.
  • the protective micro-particle surface I is equipped with diffraction micro-gratings 2 containing the identification data 3 that are in form of the alphanumeric signs, patterns or bar code K).

  • the matrix 4 with diffraction micro-gratings 2 is electroplated or chemically coated in the non-current bath, the section shows the resulting metal sheet 5 of thickness 1 up 50 ⁇ m that is subsequently peeled off the matrix 4 as shown in the fig.3.
  • the non-protected material is etched through the metal sheet 5 as shown in fig.8.
  • the metal intelligent micro-particles I are produced being protected by the light sensitive substance layer 6 before etching.
  • the rests of the light sensitive substance 6 are removed from the protective micro-particles I by a chemical solution.
  • the machine-readable information ⁇ is deposited on the intelligent micro-particle I in form of another layer and the finished intelligent micro-particles i are neutralized in the bath and dried.
  • the matrix 4 with diffraction micro-gratings 2 is electroplated or chemically coated in the non-current bath as shown in the section in the fig. 2 and the foil 9 is adhered on the resulting metal sheet 5 of thickness 1 - 50 ⁇ m as shown in fig.9 in order to easily removal from the matrix 4.

  • the rests of the light sensitive substance layer 6 are washed down from the intelligent micro-particle I with the chemical solution that also is removed from the foil 9.
  • the machine-readable information ⁇ is deposited on the protective micro-particle I in form of another thin layer and the finished intelligent micro-particles I are neutralized in the bath and dried.
