Abstract

Computer tool for storing data, comprising a matching module (40) that is connected to storage units (38) and has a matching function (404) to determine at least one first and a second storage address from a virtual address received at the input (402). Said computer tool is characterized in that the same comprises a rule for dividing at least some of the storage units into replication groups on the basis of a fault-dependent criterion. Furthermore, the matching function is designed to assign at least some of the virtual addresses in blocks to storage addresses located in storage units of a single replication group.
