Abstract

It is intended to provide a method of acquiring immunity via noninvasive and transdermal administration and a device therefor. A preparation characterized by comprising a support, an electrode which is formed on the support and partly coated with an insulator so as to avoid direct contact with the skin, and a vaccine-containing layer which is formed on the electrode and contains a vaccine. A method of administering a vaccine characterized by comprising administering a vaccine via iontophoresis with the use of the preparation as described above as an electrode. An iontophoresis device characterized in that the preparation as described above is used as an electrode.
