Abstract

An OFDM receiver which is capable of reducing deterioration in the S/N ratio of the signal in the vicinity of zero frequency passing through the devices operating at low voltage such as CMOS device and the like, and a method for receiving the OFDM signals. In the OFDM receiver which includes a high-frequency amplifier (50) for amplifying received OFDM signal and down-converts the OFDM signal passing through the high-frequency amplifier (50) into the baseband signal, the high-frequency amplifier (50) is configured to amplify (W1) the OFDM signal at different gain depending on subcarrier frequency.
