Abstract

The invention relates to a membrane gas meter comprising several measuring chambers, a rotating distribution element (1) rotating about a rotational axis on a distribution surface (3) to permit alternate entry and exit of gas from the measuring chambers, a crank (2) driving the distribution element (1) in rotation synchronised with the movements of the membranes and a support structure (5) with a part (50) centred on the axis of rotation the interior of which is turned in the direction of the distribution element (1) such as to enclose the same. According to the invention, the crank (2) comprises a plate (23) fitted concentrically on a flat surface of the support structure (50), cooperating with an upper part of the distribution element (1) through a through opening (53) in the flat surface. The counter has means (28, 54) for guiding the crank (2) in rotation distributed in the lower face of the plate (23) and on said flat surface and rotational drive means (18, 22) distributed on the lower face of the plate (23) and on the upper part of the distribution element (1). Advantages are simple assembly and small size.
