Abstract
An organic-inorganic composite material capable of attaining a charge-separated state enhanced in life and stability as compared with that of conventional organic-inorganic composite materials, more particularly, an organic-inorganic composite material made from an organic substance and an inorganic substance wherein the inorganic substance is an aluminum -substituted mesoporous silica having a mesoporous silica structure wherein part of the silicon (Si) atoms are replaced by aluminum (Al) atoms and the organic substance is one made from either an electron donor-acceptor linked molecule wherein an electron-donating moiety and an electron-accepting moiety are linked to each other or a salt thereof.
