Abstract

Provided is an electronic device which can recognize relative position of the electronic device to a power supply apparatus. An electronic device (11) uses a secondary battery as a power supply (24). The secondary battery can be recharged by a recharger (12) employing a noncontact system. The electronic device (11) is provided with a secondary side coil (18) for receiving power from the recharger (12) for recharging the secondary battery; a current detecting section (21) for detecting a current flowing in the secondary side coil (18) when the secondary side coil (18) receives power; and a notifying section for notifying, depending on the detected current value, whether the relative position of the electronic device (11) to the recharger (12) is suitable or not.
