Abstract

It is possible to provide an image processing device which is formed by non-expensive constituents and applied to a high-speed imaging using an image codec. The image processing device (100) processes a plurality of images captured at a high speed by a high-speed camera. The image processing device (100) includes data storage units (110, 111) which store different frames at every other frame from a camera output signal containing a plurality of images; signal processing units (120, 121) which correspond to the data storage units (100, 111), respectively, and encode frames read from the corresponding data storage units (100, 111) so as to generate encoded stream data; and recording units (130, 131) which correspond to signal processing units (120, 121) and record encoded stream data generated by the corresponding signal processing units (120, 121).
