Abstract

Provided are an imaging lens body, an imaging unit having the imaging lens body, and a portable information terminal having the imaging unit mounted thereon. The imaging lens body has a lens system with a reduced overall length achieved despite its use of a four-lens structure and also has lenses with a small effective diameter. The imaging unit has a meniscus-shaped first lens having positive refractive power and having a convex surface directed to an object, a meniscus-shaped second lens having positive refractive power and having a convex surface directed to an imaging surface, a meniscus-shaped third lens having negative refractive power and having a convex surface directed to the imaging surface, and a fourth lens having negative refractive power, placed near an image forming surface (31a) of a solid imaging device, and having one flat surface and the other surface with a curvature.
