Abstract

Various types of information management is carried out while reducing the load of a label printer. A label printer management system performs essential information processings considered as convenient if the label printer prepares them in cooperation with an information management device which is a management server. The essential information management processings include layout information processing reflecting law revision information, version upgrade of the body software, company sales management, and inventory management. The latest law revision information is stored in the information management device. If the label printer judges from the law revision information that the contents to be displayed need to be altered, the layout information reflecting the law revision information is sent to the label printer, and the label printer makes a correction so that the label indication may be appropriate thereby to handle with the revision of the laws. The software version of the label printer is checked. If it is not the latest, the software is updated to the latest one. The load on the label printer itself is reduced and processing workload on a client is also reduced significantly.
