Abstract

Provided is a mold release agent coating method for coating the surface of a bladder (1), which is inserted into the inside of a green tire so that it is used for vulcanizing and shaping the green tire, with a lubricant. The surface of the bladder (1) is subjected to a plasma-discharging treatment by an atmospheric pressure plasma treating apparatus (2), and is then coated with the mold release agent by a mold release agent applying device (6). By this plasma-discharging treatment, the adhesiveness between the mold release agent and the surface of the bladder (1) can be improved, so that the surface of the bladder (1) can be coated in highadhesion with the mold release agent independently of the shape of the bladder surface.
