Abstract

Provided is an electric storage device, in which a control unit (33) decides that an arbitrary temperature detecting unit (25) is normal, when the estimated temperature (Tc) of a storage unit (23) having the arbitrary temperature detecting unit (25) becomes substantially equal to the temperature output of the arbitrary temperature detecting unit (25), in case the temperature output of the arbitrary temperature detecting unit (25) indicates an abnormal value and then restores the range of a normal value. Even if the temperature output temporarily becomes abnormal, therefore, the control unit (33) can decide that state by itself so that it can again continue the temperature detection of the storage unit (23), thereby to acquire a high reliability.
