Abstract
According to the present invention, there is an arrangement of two or more rigid (2, 3) sections which are pivotally connected to form an arm(l) which is connected to a base (S) at one end with the free end able to operate thorough a wide angle of operation because the axis (21) of a first rigid section can intersect the axis (22) of a second rigid section (3) and the distal fulcrum (15) of the actuator (5) mounted on the first rigid section where it connects to and actuates the second rigid section, can also intersect the axis of the first rigid section to then operate in the inferior angle of operation for higher level operation of the free end of the arm. The wider range of movement allows the arm with suitable attachments fitted, to be suitable for low level operations such as digging and higher level operations such as a fork lift or elevated platform or cherry picker.
