Abstract

[PROBLEMS] A blind in which cleaning of slats is facilitated and in which no gaps occur between the slats when they are closed. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] Each of the slats (11) has narrow width sections (22) arranged at opposite ends of the slat (11), and recessed corners (21) are formed on both sides of each of the narrow width sections (22). Fixation members (30) are installed on the narrow width sections (22). Up/down cords (14) are passed through long holes (14) in the fixation members (30), and vertical cords (15A) of ladder cords (15) are passed through the recessed corners on both sides of each of the fixation members (30). Because of the construction above, the slats (11), the ladder cords (15), and up/down cords (14) do not directly engage each other. When the fixation members (30) are removed from the slats (11), the slats (11) are easily cleaned by removing them from the blind (1). Further, when the slats (11) are set in a closed state, the up/down cords (14) are received in the recessed corners (21) to prevent side edges of the slats (11) from interfering with the up/down cords (14), and as a result, no gaps are produced between the slats (11).
