Abstract

Provided is a direct-acting guide device, which is enabled to have a superhigh action precision by suppressing the waving phenomena. The direct-acting guide device (10) comprises a track rail (11) having a rolling-element running groove (12) formed therein, a moving block (21) having a loading rolling-element groove (22) formed therein to confront the rolling-element running groove (12), and a plurality of balls (31) disposed to roll in a loading rolling way (16) which is constituted of the rolling-element running groove (12) and the loading rolling-element groove (22), whereby the moving block (21) can reciprocate in the longitudinal direction of the track rail (11). The direct-acting guide device (10) has plural sets of plural-row ball-circulating rows, each set of which has a plurality of ball-circulating rows formed by the balls (31) to roll in series and in which two ball-circulating rows are formed adjacent to each other. The two ball-circulating rows constituting the plural-row ball-circulating rows are connected inbetween by a retainer.
