Abstract
A system for designing a rolling bearing has first load capacity calculation means that, based on a bearing load calculated by bearing load calculation means, obtains a load capacity required for the bearing, second load capacity calculation means that obtains the load capacity of the bearing while assuming inside-design specifications of the bearing, capacity difference calculation means that calculates in the form of a function the difference between the load capacity obtained by the second load capacity calculation means and the load capacity obtained by the first load capacity calculation means, determination means that determines whether the value calculated by the capacity difference calculation means is greater than or equal to a predetermined threshold value, parameter correction means that, when such a value as described above is determined by the determination means that it is not greater than or equal to the predetermined threshold value, changes the assumed inside-design specifications of the bearing according to a predetermined procedure, and decision means that, when the determination means determines that such a value as described above is greater than or equal to the predetermined threshold value, decides the inside-design specifications of the bearing according to a determination standard. The system automatically obtains main dimensions and inside-design specifications of the bearing that are most suitable for use conditions of the bearing.
