Abstract

L'invention porte sur un appareil de manipulation de tuyau qui transfère des longueurs successives de tuyau de forage stockées dans une position globalement horizontale sur un râtelier à tuyaux, vers une position élevée sur le pont d'une plate-forme de forage de puits de pétrole et de gaz. Un bâti allongé comprend une section de base avec une section de pliage pouvant être inclinée. Les sections de base et de pliage présentent toutes deux des crémaillères dentées. Une section de chevalet se déplace à partir de la section de base vers la section inclinée. Des pignons à des parties d'extrémité opposées de la section de chevalet s'engrènent avec les crémaillères dentées des sections de base et de pliage. La section de chevalet a une inclinaison qui augmente graduellement lorsque sa partie d'extrémité avant se déplace vers et en haut de rails de levage de la section de pliage inclinée. La partie d'extrémité avant de la section de chevalet escalade les crémaillères dentées des rails inclinés tandis que l'extrémité arrière de la section de chevalet reste sur la section de base.
