Description
DESCRIPTION MODULAR GARDEN FENCE
This invention is related with garden fence which is become from easily mountable parts and which can be made up any desired size.
There are garden fences which have different models and they are made up by different supply. These fences are usually manufactured in different size and they are fixed according to their fixing area's properties. These fences are especially produced for their surface of application area, so this hard to make serial production of the fences. There is some mass production modular fence which can be applied to their fixing area however they have not subject matter of this invention and have not this modular garden fence's functional and mountable parts, so they are not functional as this invention as. This invention aims to produce a modular garden fence which is light, endure, decorative, durable and has changeable parts if they are deformed.

The subject matter of invention is "Modular garden fence" consists of 8 main parts which are need to weld or to glue to each other, for their fixing. These 8 main parts are post (1), mid column (2), rail (3), cylindrical plastic connecting piece (4), decorative plastic piece (5), aluminum mid part (5), hinge (11), and lock (12). (Fig. 1 in Drawing 1)(Fig.59 in Drawing 13)
Posts (1); made of aluminum and has a special shaped column when you look trough from top of this posts there seems two cylindrical slot (13) for cylindrical plastic connecting piece(4). These cylindrical slots (13) are placed all along the post's (1) sides and these supply cylindrical plastic connecting piece (4) to get in the post (1) from top to down. There is a nail part's socket (29) inside of these cylindrical slots (13), all along the cylindrical slots (13). The post (1) has
a basement part (9) at the bottom of it and this basement part (9) has a square shape and it has four fitting holes (16) on its corners for the fixing to the ground. (Fig.3, 4, 5 in Drawing 3)
Mid Column (2); made of aluminum and has three rail hole (14); one of them at the bottom and two of them at the upper side of the mid column. (Fig. 6, 7, 8 in Drawing 4)
Rail (3); made of aluminum and has no screw head. It has long enough to connect one post (1) to another for fitting the fences all parts. (Fig.22, 23 in Drawing 7)
Cylindrical plastic connecting piece (4); made of plastic and has a hole for rail (15). When it screwed to the rail (3), it will be placed in to the cylindrical slots (13), which are in the sides of post (1), from top of the slot (13) and slides down to desired height. Thus the cylindrical plastic connecting piece (4) helps to combine post (1) with raii (3). The shape of slot (13) and cylindrical plastic- connecting piece (4) allow to rail (3) make an angle in right-left direction and raii (3) can rotate to the desired direction. (Fig. 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29 in Drawing 7)
Decorative plastic piece (5); has a shape like square with turn in corners and made of plastic. The figure in the center of the square depend the designer or manufacturer. (Fig.9, 10 in Drawing)
Aluminum mid piece (6); it has a rectanguiar prism shape but its top, bottom and one side of side surfaces are empty. Thus the rail (3) can pass through inside of aluminum mid piece (6) and also the decorative plastic piece (5) can settle in this aluminum mid piece (6). (Fig. 11 , 12 in Drawing 5)
Hinge (11); consist of three pieces; one of them is made of plastic and fixed piece (17), one of them is made of plastic and movable piece (18), the last one is bolt which is made of brass (19). The back side of fixed piece (17) is designed to fix into the slot (13). And also there is the nail part (30) on the
back side of fixed piece (17) which also fix into naii part's socket (29). Thus the hinge's fixed part (17) is fitted to the post (1). There is a hole for brass bolt (22) on the fixed piece (17) of the hinge's connecting side with the movable piece (18) and also there is a brass piece (20) which is shape like ring on the upper side of hole (22). The fixed piece (17) and movable piece (18) are connected each other with the brass bolt (19). And there is a segment (21) to prevent to unsettle of the bolt (19). The hinge's movable piece (18) has a part that cylindrical plastic connecting piece can fixed into it. (Fig. 44, 45, 46 in Drawing 10)
Lock (12); consist of four main pieces; one of them is the main part (23) which is made of plastic, the other one is metal spring (24), plastic lock bolt (25), and the latch (26) which is made of plastic. Lock's main part (23) has a place for lock bolt (25) and spring (24) in it and also has two holes; one small and one big which open to place for lock bolt (25) and spring (24). The shape of the main part (23) of lock (12) is rectangular prism. There are two fitting screw holes (16) on lock (12) for mounting to the garden gate. Spring (24) is put into the case from the big hole on the lock's main part (23) and then the lock bolt
(25) is inserted to spring (24) and case trough the small one like fig.55. Lastly the latch (26) screw to the lock bolt (25). By the help of nut shape of latch's
(26) inner part the latch (26) can be screwed to the bolt (25). When latch (26) is puiled, the bolt (25) aiso is pulled back and so spring (24) is compressed. When the latch (26) is released the spring (24) pushes the bolt (25) and the bolt (25) takes its first position. (Fig. 47, 48, 49, 50, 51 , 52, 53, 54 in Drawing 11 and Fig 55, 56, 57, 58 in Drawing 12)
Mounting of the subject matter "Modular Garden Fence" is made as follow (Fig. 2 in Drawing 2); firstly three cylindrical plastic connecting pieces (4) screw to the rail's one ends and then these cylindrical connecting pieces (4) are put into slot (13) which is on the post (1). Then these rails (3) slide down to the required height. After that Aluminum mid pieces (6) are put on each rails (3) which are already fitted into the post (1). When we put the Aluminum mid pieces (6) on the rails (3), we have to care about position of the open side of the aluminum pieces (6). The top aluminum piece's (6) open side must be look
down and the mid aluminum pieces (6) must be look up, because there must be a field for decorative pieces (5). After the placement of aluminum pieces; decorative piece (5) placed between top aluminum piece (6) and mid aluminum piece (6). Then one mid column binds with other pieces which are already placed on rails (3). Rails (3) is inserted mid column (2) by the holes which are on the mid column (2). Aluminum mid pieces (6), decorative plastic piece (5) and mid column (2), are applied same procedures until end of the rail (3) and cylindrical plastic pieces (4) are to the other ends of the rails (3). Then these cylindrical plastic connecting pieces (4) are put into second post's slot (13). After the mounting of pieces, the post's heading (7) is put on the post's (1) and after that the post's end-cap (8) are put on the post's headings (7). For the mid column (2) also mid column end-cap (10) are put on. Thus, one biock of the subject matter "modular garden fence" is completed. This block can be fixed any ground by the fixing holes (16) on the basement of post (1).
For the application of modular garden fence any desired distance, open side of the both post (1) can be used by using same procedure. Any desired area can be surrounded with the modular garden fence. Because of the cylindrical shapes of both connecting piece and the slots on the posts (1), fence can be rotated within the limited angel on the horizontal axis (Fig. 30 in Drawing 8). Thus the garden fence can be rotated any desired direction without any cutting and welding process.
During the application of the subject matter "Modular Garden Fence", the garden gate (Fig. 59 in Drawing 13) can be setup also; two hinges are placed into the slot of the post (1) for garden gate. When the hinges are put into the slots the nails are inserted into the nail slots. Thus the hinges can not move right or left. After the hinges are placed, the cylindrical plastic connecting pieces are placed into the hinges. The rails are also inserted in the cylindrical plastic connecting pieces. Firstly the mid column enters the rails. Then other parts are placed as same as with garden fence. The mid rail's two ends are closed by nuts; and in this time the garden gate ends with mid column, differs from the garden fence. This means the last mid column and the second post (1) get side by side. The lock functions for opening and closing of the gate and
it is placed on the top of the last mid column and last aluminum mid piece. When the lock touched to post (1), lock bolt gets into the slot of post (1). it helps to closing of gate. When the gate is wanted to open the latch is pulled back and the lock bolt gets out from the post (1). Thus the gate is opened. (Fig. 62, 63, 64 in Drawing 15)
The subject matter "Modular Garden Fence"; supports great easiness for mounting and serial production of the fence by made of aluminum and plastic (they are light materials). The parts are functional and easiiy mountable.
