Abstract

A flat panel display (A) comprising a front panel (1) having a displaying opening (1A), a display device (2) mounted on the rear face of the front panel (1) in such a manner that a display screen may be faced from the displaying opening (1A), a rear cover (3) mounted on the rear face side of the front panel (1) in such a manner as to form an internal space (S) with the front panel (1) while covering the display device (2), and a speaker (4) directly mounted on the rear face of the front panel (1). The speaker (4) is mounted on a peripheral edge portion (1B) of the front panel. In a predetermined range of the rear cover (3) at the back of the speaker (4), a plurality of through-holes (34) are formed to lead sound transmitted directly from the speaker (4) outside.
