Abstract

Provided is a socket outlet having an extinguishing means which can extinguish a fire promptly when the fire starts. The socket outlet includes a main body having an internal space and provided with a plug insertion hole into which a plug terminal is inserted, a power supply terminal installed in the internal space of the main body so as to supply current when the plug terminal inserted into the plug insertion hole is combined with the power supply terminal, and an extinguishing means installed in the main body or in the vicinity of the main body and extinguishing a fire when the fire starts due to spark or leakage occurring at the power supply terminal.
