Abstract

This invention provides a display element which has a simple member construction, can be driven at a low voltage, and can realize high display contrast and white display reflectance, and causes no significant variation in reflectance upon repeated drive. This display element is characterized in that an N-oxyl derivative and an electrolyte are provided between opposed electrodes.
