Abstract

To provide a display device, which records information relating to a display panel on a side of the display panel, can output the recorded information and has a relatively simple structure, and to provide a display device which can store a relatively large quantity of information. A display device (1) is provided with a display region (210) having a plurality of light emitting elements (30) formed at intersections of a plurality of scanning lines (K) and a plurality of data lines (A), which are intersecting with each other. The display device is also provided with an information recording section (24), which is formed between the data line (A) and the information outputting line (B1) and sets the data line (A) and the information outputting line (B1) in a conductive state or in a non-conductive state. The display region (210), the information recording section (24) and the information outputting line (B1) are formed on a substrate (10).
