Abstract

A displacement control system (A) for a variable displacement compressor includes a displacement control valve having a valve body that receives discharge pressure, suction pressure, and electromagnetic force of a solenoid (316) and capable of regulating the displacement of the compressor; electric current regulation means (405, 406) for regulating, in order to adjust a difference between discharge pressure and suction pressure, a control electric current supplied to the solenoid valve (316); external-information detection means (401, 402, 403, 404) including discharge pressure detection means (403, 404) that detect discharge pressure and detecting one or more pieces of external information including the discharge pressure; and suction pressure calculation means (407) for calculating suction pressure based on a control current or a parameter relating to the control current and on the discharge pressure detected by the discharge pressure detection means (403, 404).
