Abstract

Methods for diagnosing whether a subject has, or is at risk of, an abnormal blood condition are described. The methods comprises determining the genotype of the subject at a single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) position in a gene associated with platelet response, wherein an allele of the SNP is associated with enhanced platelet response. Probes and kits for use in such methods, and methods of prophylaxis or treatment of abnormal blood conditions are also described.
