Abstract
Provided is a laser processing apparatus which can judge whether a nozzle attached by nozzle replacement is a nozzle that meets process conditions or not. The laser processing apparatus is provided with a nozzle information storage section (114) and a nozzle judgment processing section (118). The nozzle information storage section stores types of nozzles to be used by meeting the process conditions, and reference calibration data indicating relationship between a nozzle-processing subject distance and a capacitance for each nozzle type. The nozzle judgment processing section compares the results of the calibration executed by a calibration processing section (117) at the time of replacing the nozzles, with the reference calibration data, which is stored in the nozzle information storage section (114) and corresponds to the selected nozzle type based on the process conditions including the material and thickness of the processing subject, and judges whether the nozzle that corresponds to the selected nozzle type is attached or not.
