Abstract
A virtual server system comprises a plurality of real servers that execute various processes in similar manners, and an SLB that distributes requests of the various processes received from client apparatuses to the real servers. The plurality of real servers transmit, to the SLB, their respective load statuses together with communication information indicative of information related to communication used for the distribution of the requests of the various processes from the SLB to them. If the communication information received from the plurality of real servers is new communication information that are not stored in a service management DB used for storing information about the destinations of the distributions that is related to the plurality of real servers to which the requests of the various processes received from the client apparatuses are to be distributed, then the SLB stores the received communication information, as new information about destinations of distributions, into the service management DB, and then distributes, based on the load statuses and the information about the destinations of the distributions stored in the service management DB and including the new information about the destinations of the distributions, the requests of the various processes to the plurality of real servers, thereby performing load balancing.
