Abstract
The invention relates to a method for surveying the energy supply system (1) of a motor vehicle, comprising a battery (11), a generator (13) and a controller (14) that is associated with said generator (13), and a surveillance device. According to said method, operational states of the energy supply system (1) or the components thereof are detected. The detected operational states are compared to the desired values. In accordance with the operational states that are detected and compared to the desired values, status information indicating an error state is generated.
