Abstract

First history information on the history of a search keyword used when a searcher in a specific group searches for a predetermined document set is prepared. Second history information on the history of a search keyword used when the searcher searches another document set, i.e., a comparative document set is prepared. The first history information and the second history information are used to calculate the degree of importance of each of occurrence keywords which are all the search keywords appearing in at least the first or second history information in the specific group in such a way that the degree of importance of a keyword is higher as the keyword appears more frequently in the first history information and/or as the keyword appears less frequently in the second history information. The calculated degree of importance of each occurrence keyword is used to calculate the score of each document in the predetermined document set in the specific group.
